New Season with an exciting New Look
Regarded as North Devon’s premier coastal escape, with its wildly romantic views putting it in a class of its own, Watersmeet Hotel & Restaurant enjoyed a phenomenal 2024, spearheaded by being named Best Waterside Hotel for UK and Ireland by Condé Nast Johansen.
Now as it opens for a new season, 2025 is already shaping up to be an equally exciting one for this magnificent Edwardian property.
Guests stepping over the threshold will immediately notice some new changes to the interior design. The bar and lounge, Rocks Restaurant, Palms Lounge, the ladies’ powder room and one of the balcony rooms have all been refreshed and enhanced.
A coastal colour palette drawing from a range of elements, from the soft blues of the ocean to the warm, neutral tones of the sand, have been used throughout to create a minimalist aesthetic that doesn’t distract from the breathtaking vistas of the ocean and beyond.
Watersmeet has always been a much sought after location for all manner of private and corporate events and the newly refurbished Palms Lounge will further enhance the offering. Located on the ground floor and leading directly onto the hotel terrace with its stunning sea views, the space is now completely separate from the main lounge. Capable of accommodating up to 27 guests, it is the ideal setting for smaller events and meetings.
At the heart of Watersmeet is its glorious terrace where, weather permitting, guests can enjoy lunch in the sunshine (and drink in the spectacular scenery at the same time), or a candle-lit dinner in the two AA Rosette Rocks Restaurant, feasting on beautifully prepared dishes featuring locally sourced ingredients from the land and sea.
